Everywhere on the planet organisms are constantly interacting with their environment. These interactions could be between different organisms living together or between an organism and the non-living components of its environment. This is the study of ecology: the interactions of organisms with their environment. It is the most broad topic we cover in AP Biology ranging from studying individual behavior all the way up to the biosphere as a single, unified entity and everything in between.
