About Mr. Erlenbeck
Hi everyone! I'm Kyle Erlenbeck; a science teacher here at Castle View High School. I was born and raised in the great state of Michigan and obtained a Bachelors of Science degree from Michigan State University in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. For two years I worked at Michigan State on a grant funded through the National Science Foundation that explored how science is learned through a web-based inquiry environment. In 2012, I knocked off one of my big bucket list items by becoming a published author in Science Scope Magazine. During this time I also taught biology and chemistry classes in a couple of high schools in Michigan. I have also completed and graduated from Michigan State's teacher preparation program.
I have five main passions in life: learning, teaching, family, science, and Detroit Red Wings hockey. Even though I now reside in Avalanche country I guarantee you will see me walking the halls donning the Winged Wheel, and no, I'm not apologizing for it. I love traveling when I get the chance, reading, the outdoors, and I am all about some good tunes. I have a killer iTunes collection which you'll hear in class from time and time. If you're not familiar with 90's music you will be after taking one of my classes. This is my seventh year at CVHS and I've enjoyed every moment I've been here. I'm looking forward to another exciting year with all of you.
